TabTrade - The Short Version
TabTrade opened in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It means the leadership has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. It is more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.
The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that is a few months old, the breadth is solid.
The Software
You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Two major platforms from a single account. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Getting both matters. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is what most people know. Full charting, Expert Advisors, huge user base. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. Many people prefer it after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for bots but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is said to be in the works. That should round things out when it lands.
What You Pay
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Suits people who want simple pricing.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your all-in cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. This broker has no minimum.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, tailored rates. Not something typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.
Execution Speed
This is the area where this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers quote hundreds of milliseconds.
Does it matter? For short-term trading, absolutely. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, you will not notice. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That is something about priorities.
Combine that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering holds up. Hardly anyone in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.
Safety
Here is the part you need to be straight about. TabTrade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If that is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The server placement costs real money. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not guarantee anything. It should factor into your decision.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off works comes down to your priorities.
Deposit Bonus
TabTrade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You fund your account, the broker credit extra capital. The normal fine print: turnover conditions before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Check the terms before you commit.
